And now, the latest on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico just off of Galveston Island. The heavy and thick "fuel oil" leaked out after a barge collided with a ship in the Houston Ship Channel this past weekend.

Dave Fehling is Houston Public Media's State Impact reporter for energy and the environment. He reports on new equipment scientists are using to help them follow the spill, as it floats away from the site of the collision.
