We learn about A Simple Thread, a Houston non-profit that helps the area’s homeless by distributing to them kits containing a variety of items to meet their most basic of needs. Items can include things like deodorant, toothbrushes, first aid items, sunscreen and rain ponchos.

So far, the organization has distributed around 18,000 kits. We hear from the organization’s president, Jac Brennan.
