You may well know the name of Houstonâs mayor. You may know the name of one of the candidates running against her in next monthâs election. But odds are very good you donât know all nine. Yes â you read that right â there are nine people on the ballot running for mayor. And we learn about all of them on this edition of Houston Matters.
We asked three political scientists to research the nine mayoral candidates. On todayâs program, we find out what theyâve learned, and welcome your questions and comments for Rice University Professors Mark Jones and Paul Brace, and Renee Cross from the University of Houstonâs Hobby Center for Public Policy.
