KUHF, along with KHOU and Rice University just concluded a poll seeking voters’ opinions on a variety of issues heading into the November election. Poll questions ranged from opinions about the Houston mayor’s race to bond initiatives to renovate the Astrodome and build an inmate processing center, to problems facing the city of Houston.

On this edition of Houston Matters, we learn some of the results from this poll, and preview others that will be released later this week. We talk with Dr. Bob Stein from Rice University, who conducted the poll, as well as KUHF’s Laurie Johnson and KHOU’s Doug Miller.

Also…a conversation with Harris County Assistant District Attorney Ann Johnson, who specializes in investigating and prosecuting human trafficking crimes in Houston.

Plus…from Hamlet to the Henrys, Shakespeare’s in the H-town spotlight. We discuss what Hamlet and Prince Hal have in common, with John “JJ” Johnston and Matthew Keenan from Houston’s Classical Theatre Company.

Houston Matters begins at noon. To join our conversation live on air, call 713-440-8870, or e-mail us at talk@houstonmatters.org.

(Audio of today’s program will be available here after 3pm).
