The building was evacuated while police investigated the building for any signs of a threat. This is Public Information Officer Gwendolyn Goins

“After the initial sweep we found nothing. We called the staff back in about fifteen minutes later and then the Houston Police Department showed up and took over the investigation. They’ve given the all clear, that’s why we’re having the citizens go back in now.”

Citizens were asked to stay outside of the building until the all clear was given at approximately 2:45 PM
