Jim McGrath says the 88-year-old Mr. Bush has been interacting with doctors and nurses and has even been singing. McGrath says the former President is in good spirits as doctors treat a stubborn fever that prompted the move to the ICU on Sunday.

McGrath says the Bush family thanks everyone for their prayers and good wishes. Mr. Bush has been hospitalized for the past five weeks. He was orginally admitted to Methodist Hospital with a case of bronchitis and a persistent cough.
