The Chamber launched the Hiring Our Heroes campaign in March of last year. Since then, it’s held more than 200 job fairs all over the country, often in conjunction with RecruitMilitary. This will mark the campaign’s third visit to Houston.

“More than 10,400 veterans and spouses have found jobs through our program.”

Bryan Goettel is spokesman for Hiring Our Heroes.

“We are anticipating about 70 employers, and we have almost 700 job seekers registered. We’d love to see that number get even higher, and I would stress too that walk-in job seekers are always welcome. Veterans are just required to bring some sort of military ID.”

Goettel says those who choose to register in advance of the job fair can upload their résumés, giving employers an opportunity to look them over ahead of time. You can register online at RecruitMilitary.
