KUHF Conversations: Mayor Annise Parker On Tour De Houston

Tour De Houston is back. It's a bike ride to raise money for reforestation. And it's needed now more than ever. The drought has wiped out more than 18,000 trees in city parks and other public spaces. KUHF's David Pitman met Houston Mayor Annise Parker at her office to talk about the Tour — why it didn't happen last year, how it was brought back this year, and what will riders see along the 20, 40, and 60 mile routes.
