KUHF Conversations: Tesla Motor’s George Blankenship

Tesla Motors is opening a showroom this weekend at the Galleria. Tesla is known for its all-electric Roadster, which is on its way out. But the company recently unveiled its Model S sedan. The Model S is close in size and price to mid-sized offerings from BMW, Jaguar, and Audi, and costs about as much. David Pitman stopped by Tesla’s Galleria showroom, where he shared some time in the front seat a Model S with George Blankenship, the VP of Sales and Ownership Experience. Here, they talk about why Tesla’s coming to Houston, why you can’t actually buy a Tesla at the Galleria, and how Tesla will determine if this gallery, as the company calls it, is a success.
