Light Rail-Dump Truck Collision Sends 15 To Hospital

METRO officials are reporting that fifteen people were taken to local hospitals after a METRO light rail and dump truck collided earlier this morning downtown at Main and Capitol.

Officals say the dump truck driver blames the glare from the sun for not seeing the red light.

The force of the collision sent the truck driver onto the sidewalk and derailed the train.

There were approximately one hundred passengers onboard. Out the the hundred, fifteen passengers went to local hospitals with reported minor injuries.
