This week Dr. Ronald DePinho starts work as the new president of the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He comes to Houston from Boston, where he directed a branch of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. DePinho is known for his work on the genetics of cancer and aging in mice — and his appointment confirms MD Anderson's decision to support more research on the basic molecular roots of cancer. KUHF Health Science and Technology reporter Carrie Feibel spoke with DePinho about the new approach.
