KUHF Conversations: Bill White

Former Houston Mayor Bill White, one of the two top Democratic contenders in the March 2nd primary election for governor, sat down with KUHF’s David Pitman to talk about what he’d do differently, if elected. The two also talk about campaign strategy, and whether Texas, which hasn’t had a Democratic governor since 1994, is ready for one now.

KUHF has spoken with both Democratic candidates in the primary campaign for governor — Bill White and Farouk Shami. We’ve put in multiple requests to interview the three major GOP candidates. However, we’ve received no response from the campaign for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison or Debra Medina. Our attempts to set a day and time to interview Gov. Rick Perry have also been unsuccessful.
