KUHF Conversations: Farouk Shami

Houston-area businessman Farouk Shami made his name, and fortune, with the CHI haircare product line. Now, he’s hoping his business experience will be enough to vault him into the governor’s office. Shami is one of two, along with former Houston Mayor Bill White, vying for the Democratic nomination for governor. He sat down with KUHF’s David Pitman to explain exactly how he’d work to bring more jobs to the state, and his disatisfaction with the Democratic party.
