In just one week, there were 12 to 15 home invasion robberies in the area between the Hardy Toll road and highway 290. In each case, there were multiple people involved…and in each robbery, the suspects took whatever they could.

“In one case, they took the complainant and his girlfriend and they forced them in his car at gunpoint, took them to the ATM, took money out and then came back went in their house and took property.”

Lt. Jeff Stauber is with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. He wouldn’t say exactly how they caught the suspects, but says they had plenty of witnesses who cooperated.

“We were able to develop suspects from witnesses while we were recovering property.”

Lt. Stauber says the robberies were committed by two different sets of people. It appears to be a coincidence that they were committing the same types of robberies in the same area at the same time. Stauber says they have a total of five people in custody. Three are adults and two are juveniles.
