The case began when Cochran traveled to Arizona to begin what he thought was a tour to Mexico.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Pat Riley says the trip was actually part of ICE’s Operation Predator.

“Mr. Cochran came into one of our undercover operations soliciting travel with the intent to solicit sexual acts with minors in another country.”

Riley says in this case the trip was to include sex with two boys aged 8 and 10-years old.  Cochran was indicted in January and entered a guilty plea in May. He also admitted to having 600 images of child pornography.

Riley says Operation Predator has been running since 2003.

“And we are approaching 12-thousand arrests on all kinds of child exploitation crimes.  This particular undercover operation has been going on for many years out of Arizona.”

ICE has a toll free number to report suspected child predators — it’s 1-866-DHS-2-ICE.
