Two tropical storms are developing that could affect the Gulf Coast states. Tropical Storm Cindy is approaching Louisiana and Tropical Storm Dennis could cause problems for the upper Texas coast.
Tropical Storm Cindy won’t affect the Texas Gulf Coast, in fact we likely won’t even get any rain from the system. The storm is forecast to hit the New Orleans area early tomorrow morning. Impact Weather Lead Hurricane Forecaster Chris Hebert says Cindy shouldn’t cause a lot of damage.
Hebert says the real system to keep an eye on is the newly named Tropical Storm Dennis developing in the Eastern Carribbean.
Hebert says right now it’s anybody’s guess where Dennis will land. Early forecasts showed it tracking off East into the Atlantic, but more recent developments indicate Florida could be at high risk for a hit and if certain conditions play out with Cindy, Tropical Storm Dennis could take a turn westward and head straight toward Texas by the start of next week.
