Since January 2008, Renu Khator has served as Chancellor of the University of Houston System, and President of UH. In that role, she has overseen an organization serving more than 67 thousand students, and a university system that has a significant impact on the Greater Houston community.
She’s the first woman to serve as Chancellor of the University of Houston, and the first Indian immigrant to head a comprehensive research university in the United States.
On this edition of Houston Matters, we’ll welcome your questions for President Khator. Anything youâd like to know about the University of Houston, or issues facing higher education today and in the future will be welcome at talk@houstonmatters.org, or 713-440-8870.
Also this hour: Rice University political science professor Mark Jones joins us to discuss a study examining how different cities, including Houston, skew politically. You may be surprised by the results.
