For the last 15 years, the Houston Chamber Choir has been hosting a school choral evening. The idea being an opportunity to hear the future voices of the Chamber Choir itself, but also to give these kids another platform to sing to the general public. This year features Flos Cantuum from St. Theresa's Catholic School in Sugar Land; the McCullough Junior High School Chamber Choir from Conroe ISD; and Langham Creek High School Chamber Choir in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.

Houston Matters’ Edel Howlin sat down with the Houston Chamber Choir's music director Robert Simpson, to get a preview of this year's event.

The Houston Chamber Choir’s Hear the Future event will be happening at South Main Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 4 p.m.
