Posted on October 7, 2022 · On Friday's show: HISD's challenge to the TEA's attempted takeover of its board went before the Texas Supreme Court on Thursday. The outcome could determine who controls the largest school district in Texas.

Texas Education Agency’s push to take over Houston ISD reaches Texas Supreme Court

Posted on October 6, 2022 · HISD sued to stop the takeover, arguing the agency’s approach skirted due process and fell outside its legal powers under state law. The district also claimed the outcome of TEA’s investigation into the district was predetermined.
