Posted on · Today, we talk with author Benjamin Taylor, whose historical novel, Tales Out Of School , chronicles the struggles of a family in the wake of the devastation of Galveston Island by the hurricane of the year 1900. Also we follow artist Aurora Robson around the Rice Gallery as she installs her new site-specific piece,, The Great Indoors , a lager-than-life assemblage of thousands of plastic bottles that replicate the inner structures of the human body.

Posted on · Today, the Shepherd School of Music's Webster Trio performs a new work by Robert Sirota, Birds of Paradise, commissioned by the Trio's flutist, Leone Buyse, and its clarinetist, Michael Webster, as a twentieth wedding anniversary gift for each other. Also, legendary American potter, Warren MacKenzie, shows us some of his seminal ceramic works, which are currently on view in a major retrospective exhibition at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.
