Eric Ladau

Eric Ladau

Announcer

NightClassics host and Station Tour Coordinator Eric Ladau graduated from Illinois State University in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. While in college, he worked at KFJM in Grand Forks North Dakota and WGLT in Bloomington, Illinois. He hosted jazz, classical, folk and blues music programs and even did a little news.

His first full time job in radio was at WHIL in Mobile, Alabama in 1980. He was the evening classical host and did a jazz show on the weekends.

In 1983, Eric went to WMFE in Orlando, Florida. His official title was operations manager (which meant that he had to work a lot of weekend shifts). In 1987, he moved to a similar job at KWMU in St. Louis, Missouri, but this did not last very long. Since he spent a good portion of his time in Orlando and St. Louis working the overnight shift, he jumped at the chance to do so on a full time basis at KUHF in November of 1987. Ever since then, he has been working overnight and enthusiastically participating in KUHF’s fabulous special events.
