Anessa Rios-Ezeude

Director of Membership & Donor Services

As Director of Membership and Donor Services, Anessa Rios oversees the strategic direction and project implementation of Houston Public Media’s integrated, multi-media (on-air, digital, mail) fundraising efforts and campaigns. Through her approach to cohesive campaigns, sustainable member cultivation, community-first messaging, comprehensive analytics, and process improvement, she has raised more than $8MM in Membership revenue. Anessa has developed strategic plans that have resulted in the highest digital fundraising revenue to date. She oversees the teams responsible for the Studio Society (major membership gift club), Member Relations, and Mission Ambassadors (social media brand ambassadors). Houston Public Media includes TV 8, the nation’s first educational television station, KUHF News 88.7, and 88.7 HD-2, a high definition radio station devoted to classical programming.

Since joining Houston Public Media in 2015, Anessa has standardized multi-media fundraising performance reporting and analytics, while executing progressive strategy to increase new and digital revenue, transition to a more philanthropic approach to on-air fundraising, and develop the first social media ambassador program for the station.

Anessa is also a current young professional scholarship member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and graduate of the Greater Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHHCC) Emerging Leaders Institute.

Anessa is proud to call Houston her home. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Houston and a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in management of technology, from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Anessa has a strong passion for organizations that provide educational life skills and enrichment opportunities for under-served students. Every day, people put their funding, time, and resources behind causes they believe in, and she support’s organizations that facilitate this process for our community’s children.
