Carolyn Sylvan wrote us after our conversation with film critic Joe Leydon about Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

She says when she was in 7th grade, her mom encouraged her and a friend to rent the film. She says when the Black Knight scene came on, she laughed so hard she cried. She writes that she soon had the entire movie memorized. However, she also wrote she wishes we’d included Life of Brian in our discussion.

Well, Carolyn, your wish is our command. Here's Joe Leydon with a brief story about Life of Brian, Monty Python's irreverent story parallel to the New Testament, in which a guy named Brian is mistakenly believed to be the Messiah.
