February 14th is a day that can divide people. Some love it. Some hate it. Some see it merely as a Hallmark holiday – manufactured to guilt you into buying cards, candy, teddy bears with hearts on them, jewelry and the like.
Houston Matters Producer Conner Clifton falls into the hater category, but he has good reason. February 14th is his birthday. Each year, he struggles to get his friends together to celebrate another trip round the sun. Even with ample notice, of course, many are busy on Valentine's Day. So, we wanted to give him a chance to vent some of his frustrations.
And then, Houston Matters producers Michael Hagerty, Maggie Martin and Edel Howlin present a Houston Valentine's Day event guide.
