Earlier this year, Houston welcomed some familiar bands like The Psychedelic Furs and Depeche Mode. In the coming weeks New Order will play at a music event called Day for Night, and in May of 2016, The Cure will play Toyota Center.

For some, this may feel like déjà vu. But for others, these are bands they’re just discovering. So why are these bands coming back now, and how are they influencing today’s music?

Houston Matters producer Edel Howlin sat down with Cactus Music owner Quinn Bishop. She started by asking why we’re seeing these 80s and 90s bands back on the touring circuit.
