At Houston’s Congregation Emanu El, the choir and organist are normally hidden from the view of temple worshipers. However, in a musical program called Emanu El’s Hidden Treasures, they’re in full view as they perform classical Jewish spirituals from the 19th and 20th century.

Emanu El’s Hidden Treasures takes place Sunday, Aug. 30, at 4:30 p.m. at 1500 Sunset Blvd.
