Free Press Summer Fest has been a part of the Houston music scene since 2009. It has grown from a one-day 30,000-fan event, to a two-day festival with nearly 100,000 people in attendance, at least according to last year's numbers.

This year, due to recent flooding, the event was moved from its usual venue at Eleanor Tinsley Park to a parking lot adjacent to the Astrodome at NRG Park.

Houston Press Music Editor Chris Gray gives us a rundown of what to expect from this year's event, from electronic dance artist Skrillex, to R&B star R. Kelly, and from 80s new wavers Tears for Fears to metal acts like Pallbearer and Mastodon.
