We hear from Broadway singer and actress Betty Buckley, a 2012 inductee into the American Theater Hall of Fame. The Texas native is performing a concert Friday, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wortham Center.

Buckley is a Texas native whom New York Magazine called “The Voice of Broadway.” She rose to fame in 1982, starring as Grizabella in the original Broadway production of the musical “Cats” – a role for which she won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She also appeared in the original film version of “Carrie” in 1976. Buckley was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2013.
