Our summer reading series continues today with Saadia Faruqi, author of Brick Walls: Tales of Hope & Courage from Pakistan.

Faruqi has worked in Houston’s non-profit sector and has conducted sensitivity training for the Houston Police Department, among other work. And she wanted to educate Houstonians about life in Pakistan and the Middle East. So she wrote this collection of short stories, which she discusses with Houston Matters host Craig Cohen.
