This weekend (Aug. 4-6, 2017), the DeLuxe Theater in Houston’s Fifth Ward will host the first-ever Fifth Ward Documentary Film Festival, which focuses on African-American films and art.
Jolie Rocke Brown from Texas Southern University tells us more about her collaboration with the theater and her choice to screening three films at the festival: Mickey Leland: Citizen of the World, Porgy and Me, and I Am Not Your Negro.
