Studio Performance: Houston Trio Ancient Cat Society

With pretty vocal harmonies and rip-your-heart-out lyrics, the Houston trio Ancient Cat Society has distilled the folk-pop formula down to its essence. The relationship narratives of songs like "The Leaves" and "The Loneliest Pursuit" are as fragile and delicate as their musical shells.

The band, comprised of Sergio Trevino, Haley Barnes, and Austin Sepulvado, recently visited our Geary Performance Studio to record an edition of Houston Public Media's Skyline Sessions where they performed the aforementioned songs, both off their recently released self-titled album.
