Backstage with Andrés is a series of conversations with Houston Symphony Music Director Andrés Orozco-Estrada, recorded behind-the-scenes at Jones Hall.

Maestro Orozco-Estrada chats with Catherine Lu about the Houston Symphony’s Composer-in-Residence Gabriela Lena Frank. The orchestra’s upcoming program will feature the World Premiere of Frank’s “Conquest Requiem,” in addition to “Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.”

The Houston Symphony presents this program, Andrés Conducts Shostakovich 5, on Friday, May 5, 8pm; Saturday, May 6, 8pm; and Sunday, May 7, 2:30pm at Jones Hall.
