Originally from New Jersey, Mike Alexander has been a cornerstone of the Houston poetry scene for years, as a poet, publisher and presenter of readings. His first book, Retrograde, was published in 2013. He also has served on the board of The Panhandler, Mutabilis Press and Public Poetry. Here, he reads his poem, “Charybdis.”
