Written in 1817, Gioachino Rossini's La Cenerentola is based on the fairy tale Cendrillon by Charles Perrault, the story of the beautiful, big-hearted young girl, abused by her step-sisters and step-father, who is invited to the Prince's ball and ends up as his bride.

Opera in Heights is presenting La Cenerentola at Lambert Hall through February 13th, 2016.

Stage director David Ward, a recent Master's graduate of the Moores School of Music, talks with Houston Public Media's St.John Flynn about the OH production of this Rossini favorite.
