Classical Theatre Company’s Gritty “A Christmas Carol”

The Houston theater company reprises its own, brand new production of the Dickens classic.

James Belcher and Philip Hays

The starting point for the Classical Theatre Company’s version of A Christmas Carol is Charles Dickens’s own words taken from the 1843 novella. CTC’s executive artistic director John “JJ” Johnston and company member Matthew Keenan have attempted to create a dramatic telling of the beloved story that remains close to the original.

CTC company member James Belcher plays the role of Ebenezer Scrooge and Philip Hays directs. They talk to Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn about the production which runs through December 24th.
