Producer Omar Afra talks about Day for Night, a winter music festival featuring video and computational art installations by multimedia artists from around the world. Afra, who is also the publisher of Free Press Houston and a co-founder of the popular Free Press Summer Fest, imagines Day for Night as a music festival with an enhanced experiential element, offering festival goers more diversions and aesthetic encounters as they navigate the festival grounds between concerts by the musical acts. The festival’s musical lineup includes a rare Houston appearance by dance music pioneers New Order, hip-hop sensation Kendrick Lamar, minimalist composer Philip Glass and innovative DJ Dillon Francis.

Day for Night takes place Saturday and Sunday, December 19 & 20, at Silver Street Studios.
