This weekend at its home in Lambert Hall on Heights Boulevard, Opera in the Heights presents Concierto de Invierno, a special holiday music concert featuring different Spanish musical styles including traditional zarzuelas, boleros and música navideña.

On stage to present the songs will be four Hispanic artists who have ties to the opera company: Claudia Chapa; Octavio Moreno; James Rodriguez; and Patrick Contreras. Guitarist Arnold Yzaguirre and pianist Brian Suits provide the musical accompaniment.

Concierto de Invierno performances are Dec. 11-13 at 7PM.

Baritone James Rodriquez, recently seen in Opera in the Heights's production of Pagliacci, talks with Houston Public Media's St.John Flynn about the concert.
