Sunday evening at the Campbell Learning Center in west Houston, the Francoeur Chamber Music Society presents its first-ever concert. The society is the brainchild of Houston-based cellist Louis-Marie Fardet who teams up with violinist Chavdar Parashkevov, a colleague from the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera Orchestras, and Rice University doctoral student Viktor Valkov, piano.

On their debut program are piano trios by Haydn (the E major), Mendelssohn (the C minor) and Shostakovich (the E minor).

The three musicians joined Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn in the Geary Studio to play movements from two of the works and talk about the Francoeur Chamber Music Society.

Sunday’s performance is presented by the Incanto Agency.
