Houston’s St. Cecilia Chamber Music Society presents its final recital of the season, Clarinet Plus!, this evening at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on West Alabama.

Organized by lead musician James Dunham (viola, Shepherd School), the program features two important works in the clarinet repertoire, Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio, K. 498, and the Brahms Clarinet Quintet, featuring Shepherd School clarinetist Richie Hawley.

Also on the program, the Piano Trio No. 1 by Shepherd School composer Pierre Jalbert.

James Dunham, Richie Hawley, Oleg Sulyga (violin), Barrett Sills (cello) and Rodney Waters (piano), members of the recital ensemble, join Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn in the Geary Studio to talk about and play excerpts from their program.
