Storm Large, the former Rock Star: Supernova contestant and now singer for the genre-crossing musical group Pink Martini, was in Houston this April to perform with the Houston Symphony Pops for the concert UK Rocks, a salute to the influence of British bands and singers, from the Kinks and the Beatles to Coldplay and Adele. She visited Houston Public Media’s Geary Studio to record the Kinks’ “Strangers,” by Dave Davies, as well as her own original song “A Woman’s Heart,” accompanied by herself on ukulele.

She also sat down with Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn for a brazen and unreserved interview.
