Grace Song Inc. Presents Cecilia Duarte And Octavio Moreno

The Houston-based singers present popular and classical songs November 2nd.

Mezzo-soprano Cecilia Duarte and baritone Octavio Moreno, both born and raised in Mexico, have close ties to Houston Grand Opera.  Both had lead roles in HGO’s world première mariachi opera Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, Cecy has sung in the company’s chorus, and Octavio is an alum of the HGO Studio.

In their upcoming recital for Grace Song Inc., the singers show their vocal ranges with songs from both the popular and the classical worlds.

Cecy, Octavio and Grace Song Inc. artistic director and pianist Keith Weber join Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn in the Geary Studio where they sing songs from their recital and talk about their musical heritages.

Grace Song Inc. presents “A Melting Pot – Songs that make up an American” Sunday, November 2nd, 7:30PM, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church on West Bellfort in Houston.
