VIDEO: Artist Honors Fallen Soldiers With Portraits

Baytown man memorializes soldiers who were killed in the line of duty.

Ken Pridgeon had a long career as a sign painter before finding his true calling. Now he’s on a mission to paint a portrait of every Texas soldier who was killed in the line of duty. He shares his portraits with family members and friends at the ‘Portrait of a Warrior’ gallery in Baytown.

This segment airs November 6, 2014 on Arts InSight, Houston Public Media’s Arts & Culture program that features profiles of artists and arts organizations in Houston and around the country. It broadcasts Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. on TV 8.
