For the past decade, The Museum of Fine Arts Houston has held a film series called “Movies Houstonians Love.” Each screening features a well-known Houstonian who selects a movie that has influenced him or her in some way.

The series began its tenth season earlier this month, and Houston Matters’ Michael Hagerty sat down with the museum’s Marian Luntz to talk about some of the movies screened over the years.

Dec. 1, 2014: It’s a Wonderful Life, presented by Catastropic Theater associate director Tamarie Cooper
Jan. 27, 2015: Contact, presented by heart surgeon Billy Cohn

March 30, 2015: Black Narcissus, presented by artist Carl Palazzolo
