The Houston band The Tontons takes the stage tomorrow night at Fitzgerald's. The indie group with a hard-to-define genre is touring nearly constantly, and in recent years has received critical praise from the likes of Rolling Stone and The New York Times.

Houston Matters' Michael Hagerty talked with lead singer Asli Omar, bassist Tom Nguyen, guitarist Adam Martinez and drummer Justin Martinez about the role Houston has played in their development and success outside of Texas, and about their first new full-length album in five years, "Make Out King and Other Stories of Love."
