Arts InSight segment, “Stories of a Workforce” celebrates the Houston Ship Channel.

A new exhibit curated by the Houston Arts Alliance at the Houston Public Library’s Julia B. Ideson Building celebrates the centennial of the Houston Ship Channel through interviews, film clips, and mementos from individuals and families who helped shape the Port of Houston and the Channel.

The exhibit “Stories of a Workforce” is part of a larger, months-long arts initiative called TRANSPORTED+RENEWED that celebrates Houston’s East End and the Ship Channel
