August is one of the busiest months in Houston for restaurants, that's largely thanks to Houston Restaurant Weeks or HRW. Actually it's more like Houston Restaurant month because the event runs until the end of August. The idea is to have high-end eateries provide special menus with some of the proceeds going directly to the Houston Food Bank.
