Video: The Axiom Quartet

Watch an acclaimed local chamber quartet perform in the Geary Studio.

In this first video, in celebration of National Chamber Music Month, Houston’s Axiom Quartet perform “Pur Ti Mio” from Claudio Monteverdi’s opera “The Coronation of Poppea” (1643). The performance was recorded in Houston Public Media’s Geary Performance Studio.

In this second video, the Axiom Quartet performs Fritz Kreisler’s quick and light “Tambourin Chinois” op. 3 (1910) in the Geary Studio.

The Axiom Quartet is currently the quartet in residence at the Music Preparatory School of the University of St.Thomas. Listen to their interview with Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn here.
