Houston’s Fidelis Quartet, all members of the Houston Symphony, have been named “Quartet in Residence” at the University of St. Thomas beginning with the 2014-15 academic year.

As a preview of their residency, they give a recital on the UST campus, April 21st, 2014, which will include Dvorak’s famous “American” Quartet, the string quartet No. 12 in F major, Op. 96, and, with clarinettist Danny Granados, the Brahms Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115.

Fidelis first violinist, Rodica Gonzalez, and cellist, Jeffrey Butler, talk with Houston Public Media’s St.John Flynn about their quartet and the recital.

The Fidelis Quartet performs at 7:30 p.m. today in Cullen Recital Hall on the University of St. Thomas campus.
