FotoFest 2014 – A. Lokey: Texas Quail Rigs

Check out a Houston photographer’s images of rarely-seen Texas hunting trucks.

Houston photographer A. Lokey talks with Houston Public Media about his recent project, a survey of quail-hunting rigs on Texas ranches. These quirky, customized vehicles are rarely seen off their owners’ private property. Lokey received special access to many of South Texas’ famous ranches, including divisions of the King Ranch, to capture images of this vehicular phenomenon largely unknown outside Texas hunting culture.

The FotoFest 2014 exhibition is on view through May 31 at Meredith Long Gallery.
