FotoFest 2014 – Daniela Edburg: Killing Time

Artist Daniela Edburg discusses her darkly comic images in this short video.

Houston-born, Mexico-raised Daniela Edburg combines her love of knitting with creating quirky and painterly images (she was trained in painting, but now works primarily in photography). Often, her subjects seem caught in a state of creation and destruction, or they’ve comically kicked the bucket over-indulging in a popular consumer product. In this video, Edburg talks about her process and the inspiration behind her unique imagery.

Daniela Edburg’s FotoFest exhibition is on view at Anya Tish Gallery through April 19.
